Tennis team on the move, has eight matches under belt

The Panther girls' tennis team has been very active the past two weeks, with matches at Morris, Sauk Centre, Minnewaska and a dual at home. Their record is now 4-4 after last week. Pictured is Erica Parsons returning a volley in her match versus Morris on Tuesday, August 26th.

District 547 students head back to school

District 547 Parkers Prairie Public Schools will begin regular classes for K-12 on Tuesday, September 2nd. All students and parents are invited to the BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT at the Parkers Prairie Schools on Wednesday, August 27th. The elementary Back-to-School Night will run from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The high school’s Back-to-School Night will begin at 7 p.m. in the new gym with introductions, instructions, questions and answers. After the meeting in the gym, students will be able to take their schedules and visit their rooms and teachers. All parents and students from the high school are welcome, but we especially encourage all 7th grade students and their parents/guardians and new students and their parents/guardians to attend. School officially begins on Tuesday, September 2nd. See you there!

Board okays purchase of $875,000 in Aid Anticipation Certificates

District 547 school board members did not have a long agenda August 19 but they had two items which were very important to the district. The aid anticipation certificates purchase, and the referendum levy, which will be voted on at the next General Election, this November. For more on this story, click here.
